Conducting a Seminar for College of Science Students/ Erbil
Kurdistan Save the Children on the 26th of February 2017 conducted a seminar in Erbil with the assistance of the College of Sciences Department at Salahaden University under the title (The Responsibility of Society in Cancer Stricken Children Cases and How to Fight Cancer).
The Seminar started with an introduction into Kurdistan Save the Children’s psychological and social support program and its work for cancer stricken children. Dr. Jwan Ismael Bakr, professor in the Sociology Department, discussed prevention methods, the first symptoms and how to behave with cancer stricken patients. We also distributed brochures to teachers and students of the college.
The aim of these types of activities is raising awareness about cancer and how to treat it from a scientific point of view.
