On the 14th of August 2017, Kurdistan Save the Children signed a contract with Sulaimani’s General directorate of health. The contract concerns the management of work at the Open Heart Children’s Hospital in Sulaimani.
The Open Heart Children’s Hospital is managed with an advanced system by KSC and provides treatment to children with heart disease.
It’s worth mentioning that Kurdistan Save the Children has 3480 children registered in the Health Program with heart disease and most have them have received treatment inside and outside Kurdistan. Now, we have 780 children who are in need of treatment. KSC continues its work to provide them with healthcare and the opening of this hospital will speed the process but children’s heart disease is an on-going problem and the rate of heart disease is still increasing.
