KSC Training Project in Arbil: Assisting Children with Special Needs
On October 4-8, Training Sector of the Kurdistan Save the Children delivered a twenty-hour workshop for 16 employees of the Kurdistan Regional Ministry of Labour in Arbil. The course, entitled IQ Testing was designed and delivered by Dr. Kabeel Kudi Hussein, professor in psychological measurement at the Department of Psychological and Educational Science, College of Education of the University of Mustansariya, Baghdad, Iraq. The main objective of the course was to train a qualified staff for working at a a Diagnostic Centre for Persons with Special Needs to be opened in Arbil, Sulaimany and Duhok in the nearest future.

The implementation of the course was an outcome of close cooperation between Kurdistan Regional Ministry of Social Affairs, General Department of Social Administration and Development in Arbil, and Kurdistan Save the Children NGO. The course was completed with a ceremony of awarding Certificate of Participation to the sixteen participants of the course.
